Fun in the Foam – Nine Mile Beach

After a weekend of crazy weather with heavy rain, gale force winds and then snow to parts of the country, we finally awoke to some lovely blue skies and sunshine.

Ziggy in the foam

Nico in the foam

Headed down to the beach with the dogs for a well deserved leg stretch after being cooped up for a couple of days. Bottom of the stairs to the beach though the fun really began – full on foam. The boys disappeared with the foam up to their necks. They didn’t care – they love this – the higher the foam the better!

Ziggy singing in the foam

They were caked in the foam soap suds – Ziggy looking more like a poodle than a German Short-haired Pointer and Nico trying to look more like his brother than a Dalmatian.

Ziggy and his toy in the foam

Ziggy had one of his toys with him and it soon was covered in the foam also.

We managed to “hide” that on the beach before heading back up for relunctant showers for some…….

That’s the wonderful thing about the West Coast Jan, when the rest of the country is pouring with raining, you can guarantee that the Coast will be sunny with clear skies. By the way, I wouldn’t mind a romp in that foam myself. Looks like fun!

It was great fun – had to watch out for the driftwood hidden underneath though and not do any “elegant” face-planting into the foam – that possibly wouldn’t have been so much fun LOL
