Took a walk on the rocks at the 8 mile beach – just for something different. As much as we love our beach, it is nice to visit the others occasionally, especially when we are lucky enough to have so many to choose from and them all being so completely different even when so close.
Just like our beach the 8 mile beach is always changing and our latest walk had us up off the actually beach and on the rocky shelf above. So pretty with little waterfalls and some great cloud formations out at sea.
The boys and I had some fun – when I say boys, I do mean all three, photographer included!
Jumping jack flash, it’s a gas, gas, gas
Nico, Ziggy and I had fun clowning around jumping across little rocky crevasses. Check out this shot with Nico watching with amusement – not sure if he was amused at his brother jumping across or his “Dad” down below taking the photos.
Either way he totally got in the spirit of the game and had a blast jumping back and forth. aaahhh nothing like a bit of fun on our beach walks – clowning around on the rocks 8 mile beach.
Jan and Stephen run Breakers Boutique Accommodation on the Great Coast Road north of Greymouth. They enjoy getting out and above and exploring the region – named by Lonely Planet Best in Travel 2014 as one of the top 10 regions to visit in the world. We know why.
