With the weatherman threatening rain, the day started with some high cloud and patchy blue skies – perfect conditions for a cycle race.

Despite the length and number of hills there were plenty of smiles as the riders made their way along the coastal drive.

100 km of torture or a ride along one of the worlds most beautiful roads – take your pick but one thing is for sure everyone riding gets a big thumbs up from us for completing a hell of a ride.  Well done to all the participants.

Jan and Stephen run Breakers Boutique Accommodation on the Great Coast Road north of Greymouth.  They enjoying getting out and exploring the West Coast and supporting local events.
